This project consists of the reconstruction of the existing beach access roadway along Boulder Beach at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The previous native gravel-based roadway provided access to the six different areas of the beach set aside for public use. Prior to our involvement, without continuous maintenance, the existing native gravel-based roadway experienced wash boarding, raveling, and dust. The 7,500-foot alignment would be re-graded, providing for drainage improvements installed at wash crossing, and paved to allow easier access to the beach areas and reduce maintenance.
